Novel segregation in granular mixtures

Opportunities are available for Ph. D. students and post-doctoral fellows in problems related to understanding segregation in granular aggregates. The processes are inspired by real industrial machines and requirements.

For example, the picture above shows a rice sorter that actually is able to sort any two grains based on the differences in their density and size.
